‘Rick’s Cafe’ – Creating a virtual Internet city on the basis of architectural models (2)
Work
process:
The project deals with the question of how to realise the topic by means of
analogue and digital media. For this purpose, 26 pupils from class 9a first
built highly imaginative house models consisting of two matchboxes. Afterwards,
the models were welded for reasons of form comprehension. The pupils then
made front view, top view and isometric drawings of the models.

In a further step, the house models were converted into a colourful sketch that could be examined from two points of view. Afterwards, the architectural objects were used as the basis for the development of digital house models which were made with the help of a special software for 3D Internet environments.
