‘Rick’s Cafe’ – Creating a virtual Internet city on the basis of architectural models (3)
The houses could then be virtually inspected. The self-made
digital space of the computer was to be understood as an extension of the
possibilities in physical space and aimed to encourage a debate on the hybrid
forms of digital and virtual worlds.
The pupils’ objects are to be made accessible in the form of a virtual
Internet city. One of the main aims is to convey and reflect the special value
of the computer as an independent medium of creation. The integration of scans
and self-made textures facilitates a highly individual construction of the
city.

The pupils worked on the development of the overall project of the Internet city in a co-operative way. The project attaches special value to the connection of physical and digital models.
